QUESTION: private prison investors

question / pregunta:

What banks are stockholders with the Corrections Corporation of America (CCA) or what banks are in any way associated with CCA?

Answers

Here's a start with Osiris's ownership chart for CCA

Pershing Square is a "Mutual and pension fund/Nominee/Trust/Trustee."
Wellington is a financial company.
Bill Ackman (of Pershing Square) is "the investing world's version of Elvis."

We're going to need a business librarian or someone with more business research expertise to take this question further.

Vickers Security Report

LexisNexis provides access to Vickers Security Reports. I looked for the latest report on CCA, dated February 28, 2011. The resulting document is 43 pages and I don't know of any way to attach documents here, but regardless, to do so would probably be a copyright violation. I've sorted the list of institutional shareholders by institution type and created an online spreadsheet listing only the banks. That list can be found here.

Banks are ordered from highest to lowest portfolio value. Other institutional shareholder categories include Mutual Fund, Other, and Pension Fund (Money Manager)--all of which may be of interest here, depending on the reason for this reference request. If someone has a suggestion as to how to provide this information online without infringing on copyright, I would be happy to do so.
