I'm trying to do more writing, even if I don't always do it in a timely fashion. To wit – on April 8, I attended a talk that Helene Blowers, best known for her 23 Things initiative at the Public Library of Charlotte & Mecklenburg County, gave at the New York Public Library to librarians in the metro area. And here's what I thought.

Radical Reference presents a second evening about how community history is documented and celebrated, with the Lesbian Herstory Archives and the Lower East Side Squatter-Homesteader Archive Project. Archivists and activists will present parts of their collections and discuss how their work keeps the struggle alive.

Security and Freedom for Online Collaboration

Members of Radical Reference have helped the US Social Forum's Information and Communications Technology (ICT) working group with testing of the registration process -- and of course we plan to be part of a radical librarians presence in Detroit this June.
